Experience

Jobe Law PLLC is the Dallas practice of Hudson Jobe, board certified in business bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Twenty years in bankruptcy and related litigation

Hudson Jobe founded Jobe Law PLLC in July 2024. The firm handles business bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, receivership, and commercial litigation, primarily in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

He began as law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Jones at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William R. Greendyke in the Southern District of Texas. He entered private practice in 2004 and became a shareholder at his prior firm in 2012.

He serves as special counsel to Chapter 7 trustees on contingent fee matters, and has been appointed a Subchapter V trustee in Dallas. His trustee-side work centers on avoidance litigation, forensic accounting, contested exemption claims, and adversary proceedings. He has served as lead counsel to Texas Chapter 7 trustees in more than one hundred asset cases.

On the creditor side he represents secured and unsecured lenders, official committees of unsecured creditors, and trade vendors. He has served as lead counsel to a creditors' committee, defended preference and lender liability claims, and litigated contested plan confirmations and cram-down disputes. He also represents debtors in Chapter 11 and Subchapter V, and businesses acquiring assets out of bankruptcy.

His accounting background informs the forensic side of the practice. He tracks cash, traces transfers, and builds the financial record a contested matter turns on.
